Oh how I love bed sheets. I’ve used them as light filtering shades in the windows on super hot days. I made curtains for my son’s room. I’ve even recovered an old chair with upcycled bed sheets. This got me thinking about all the ways you could repurpose or upcycle an old bed sheet.

They said I couldn't do it. My property is too small. There are too many land restrictions living in town. I have trouble sewing in a straight line and I set off the smoke detector when I boil water. Well you know what? I'm figuring it out. I currently have a flock of ducks, quail, and chickens, as well as four Nigerian Dwarf goats. Between our livestock and our gardens (over half our 1/4 acre is edibles), we produce most of our food. I may not be the poster child of a domestic goddess, but I am definitely a homesteader. Find out how I overcome challenges. I believe that everyone can be a homesteader, no matter where they live. Visit me at The 104 Homestead
