Let’s be honest: finding things to be frustrated about on the homestead is NOT a hard task. It can be easy to focus on the sick chicken, broken fence, busted tractor, failing garden, or really, really headstrong goat and feel overwhelmed by the negative. However, there are just as many things that are beautiful as well–it just takes a little bit of redefining your perspective to find them.
When I was in a very frustrated time of life, I started a list of things that were good to help shift my attitude–my tiny little gifts throughout the day. Now, seven years later, I’m still keeping that list, and I have found that homestead life is chock-full of the lovely, funny, bizarre, and just plain good things!
