As we move through our days on the homestead, making a more sustainable life for ourselves, there are projects that are urgent and get done quickly like mending the fence or planting the garden. Then there are the projects that happen over the course of time and seem as natural as the sun rising and setting. Those projects that happen as life unfolds its joys as well as its trials. Those slow projects. This is one of those slow projects. Take a look for the story behind this Cathedral Window quilt/coverlet and how long it took to complete.
- Lady Locust
We live about 25 miles from the closest grocery store in the beautiful mountains of Oregon. We strive to provided a good majority of our food for ourselves &/or find it locally while at the same time eating what we consider to be the healthiest diet and creating as little refuse/garbage as possible (down to about 6 bags per year.) It takes great balance to juggle all these balls at once, and at times we are more successful than others. C'mon along; we enjoy the company.
