An Odd Antique and Other Happenings

It really is all the little moments that make up our lives. Over that past couple weeks, we’ve been up to just that – living. Here I share several of those happenings, a day in the life sort of look at what happens on the homestead.
The other tidbit is an antique that I ran across a couple years ago and have finally figured out what it is. Ever on the lookout to learn something new, this little mystery is now solved.

    We live about 25 miles from the closest grocery store in the beautiful mountains of Oregon. We strive to provided a good majority of our food for ourselves &/or find it locally while at the same time eating what we consider to be the healthiest diet and creating as little refuse/garbage as possible (down to about 6 bags per year.) It takes great balance to juggle all these balls at once, and at times we are more successful than others. C'mon along; we enjoy the company.
