August is a bountiful month at a garden in Maine. The harvests start coming in and all of that hard work tilling, weeding, and watering is paid off. We have been eating royally for the past several weeks and my main thoughts are of bigger and better for next year. Here are some pictures to up date you on the goings on here in Day’s Ferry.

I grew up on a small farm and spent my youth riding horses competitively and gnawing on fresh vegetables from our garden. I moved away, went to college and spent time working in customer service, but the taste of fresh vegetables is kind of addicting. Our small farm has expanding gardens, a small flock of chickens, two geese, and is growing every season.
