Lately, it’s been a little depressing to be a farmer. There is so much devastation in certain parts of our country that I wonder how the farmers will move forward. Many areas of the country are experiencing weather related hard ship this season. The North West and surrounding areas suffered one of the worst season of drought ever recorded. Meanwhile, some lingering storm systems brought incredible amount of rain and flooding to the South East coast and the Mid-Atlantic states. It’s pretty crazy out there and invariably, when I mention how wet it is here, someone will remind me that they would love to have some rain in their area. I totally understand! If only we could send our unwanted weather to areas that need it. Now, that would be farming encouragement!
