I love cheesecake. It’s always been a favorite dessert of mine, and it just so happens that it’s the hubby’s favorite too. We didn’t have a cake at our wedding. We had cheesecake.
One thing I love about cheesecake? It’s so versatile. You can make all sorts of flavors and crusts and they’re all good. Get the basics of a traditional cheesecake down and your possibilities are endless.
Fresh fruit in Alaska usually isn’t cheap. Even here on the main road system. Out in the Bush where everything has to be flown in? Forget it. Prices are sky high. Fresh pineapples are usually in the $4 range each here in our little town, but this last week, they’ve been on sale for $1.49. Each. The hubby bought four. We juiced one. I’m planning on dehydrating at least one, if not two. And with the fourth? I made Fresh Pineapple Cheesecake.
