Cabbage is not a difficult plant to grow, especially in the Northern areas. It loves cooler weather and is quite hardy.
It is a heavy feeder though, so be sure to put a good layer of composted manure in the garden row for it to grow in.
Cabbage is such a good Cold Room staple for over Winter, it is more than worth it to set aside some room in your garden for cabbage. We can keep whole cabbages on a shelf in our Cold Room for over 3 months. They are great for coleslaw or cabbage rolls in the winter.
Come on over to Country Living and to find out more. Be sure to plant a few Cabbage plants in your garden this year!
