Who doesn’t like giving their dogs treats, amIright? I can feel the gratitude from my dogs when they receive a treat – but all three of our dogs have struggled with weight gain after spay and neuter, and controlling what they eat is important to me. These guys are part of the family and we want to feed them like it. You can purchase any number of grain free treats nowadays but like any food it is always best when it is freshly prepared in your kitchen. We are fortunate in that our pets don’t have any allergies… but what if they did? I recently saw a call out from a local pet rescue requesting donations of treats to sell at a bake sale and wanted to contribute. It was important to me to donate products that people could feel confident feeding their pets by avoiding the use of wheat and making some free of dairy as well – Both very common allergies in dogs of all sizes and breeds.
