Just because your favorite blogger writes about butchering hogs, raising chickens, baking bread, making crock pot gourmet, canning, homeschooling, writing in nature journals, mucking stalls, attachment parenting, and on, and on, ad nauseum, it doesn’t mean that that blogger does all those things every day. It doesn’t mean she/he does all those things every week, or every month, or every year, even. There are seasons to life. For that, we must be (I am) accepting and grateful. Homesteading with baby is one season. And that season probably won’t include a lot of the other things I listed because babies require a lot of attention. And those other things can wait.
That said, here are a few of my favorite ways to homestead with baby or small children.
