Making homemade baby food is one of the easiest ways to eliminate processed foods in the home. Babies can eat far more than oats or rice cereal (our pediatrician actually recommended avoiding cereals for the first year). The jars of baby food at the grocery store may provide some nutrition, but in the end, they will never be as healthy as homemade baby food. I was intimidated by the idea of making my own baby food until I realized just how easy it can be. All you really need is a blender or food processor, and if you practice baby-led weaning, you may not even need that.
