Pierogi are a semicircular Polish dumpling usually stuffed with potato filling, sauerkraut, ground meat, cheese or fruit. The most common filling here in the States is mashed potatoes with cheese. This recipe uses the frozen version that is commonly available at the grocery store. With some fresh tomatoes and basil from the garden, these can be a great side dish or entree. Would also be good with the addition of grilled chicken.
