Hello and welcome to another edition of Monthly Musings on the Farm!
Phoebe, my girl goose, is still busy making nests and laying eggs. Finn, my male goose, and self proclaimed leader of the waterfowl gang has been looking to expand his pack of ladies. He has started socializing with the Canadian geese and integrating himself with their flock. When it comes to ladies, Finn’s motto is the more the merrier. The wild geese don’t seem to mind one bit.
On the other hand, our two female pekin ducks seem a tad confused by this. They come up to the farm without their beloved leader. No worries, they are quick to forgive. As soon as he comes barreling up from the brook, they are back to being his faithful followers.
The two bantam chickens are bosom buddies connected at the hip. You will rarely find one without the other. Burt and Roo are continuing to try and out-crow one another and having their daily battle royale. There is never a clear winner in this competition. The only loser is everyone’s ear drums.
Come see what else has been happening this spring on the farm!
