Some great herbs for our hair and scalp also happen to be the common culinary herbs. Add shine and body to your hair — learn to make your own nourishing herbal hair rinse using common herbs.
- Michelle Van Doren
We recently made big changes, leaving a city home and city salary behind to create a homestead on 2.5 acres in the mountains. It was exciting, scary, and stressful, but so worth it! As we settle into our new life, I focus on a few themes that are important to my idea of a joyful life. We are connecting with nature and the seasons, a connection that goes so much deeper when faced with the task of growing our own food. As a homesteader and a Registered Dietitian, functional food and herbal medicine is a huge part of my life, both personally and professionally. But the homesteading lifestyle is about more than just food, it's about living mindfully, joyfully, and pursuing our passions. If I can do it, you can too - won't you join me?
