When my garden starts producing I grab my Pickles & Relishes book for my favorite recipes! I don’t have many cookbooks and this is the only canning book I own. I do love pickled foods and there are so many veggies that you can pickle that I use it endlessly all summer. Beginning with pickled asparagus in April, when I start my pickling season, I have it within easy reach.
I'm Anni and I love living in the wide open spaces of Kansas with my husband and our cattle, chickens, guineas, cats, dogs and horses. We love the Lord and all that he has given us. I love to help people learn how to garden and grow their own food. And did I say organic gardening? Don't understand using chemicals on my food so I never have.I am passionate about so many things so my blog is to share tips, hints, helps and my loves of living in the country!
