The most recent national climate assessment predicts a warmer and wetter climate for the Northeast US in the next 100 years, and we’re already seeing and preparing for the effects on our homestead. Rainfall has increased by 10% annually in the past 100 years, and the next hundred could see as much as a 20% increase on top of that. While other areas of the country are preparing for long term drought, we’re proactively looking for ways to prevent flooding and erosion.
