Grains have gotten a bad rap recently and everyone seems to be going “Paleo!” Yet, like any diet fad or food movement, I have my suspicions that eating like our cavemen ancestors just isn’t the best option for everyone.
Omitting grains from your diet can be a great way to give your digestive system a break. If you’re fighting cancer or a chronic disease like type II diabetes, then yes, I could see the benefit of not eating grains for a season. But for the average healthy person seeking the Abundant Life, I personally view grains as a healthy addition to someone’s diet.
