Many folks are feeling the pinch this summer or are trying to put money in savings to name just a few of the issues people could be facing so I thought I would put together a round-up list from myself and other fantastic bloggers (some from the Homestead Blogging Network) because they have shared in this post some amazing and fun ideas from camping to indoor activities on a rainy day for you and your family to have a fabulous summer on the cheap! I hope you enjoy reading this post as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Karen Lynn blogs at Lil’ Suburban Homestead and is a weekly Radio Show Host at "The Survival Mom Radio Network". She previously blogged for Frugal Families.com as well as being featured at several popular blogs. She is a Homestead Bloggers Network Contributor and was featured in From Scratch Magazine. Her and her family decided instead of picking up stakes to move to the farm they would move the farm to them. They supplement their diet from their backyard garden which is mostly raised beds and a small “up-cycled”greenhouse. Both Karen and her husband she calls “The Viking” are beekeepers, sell local honey, keep backyard chickens all on less than 1/3 of an acre.
