One of the less talked about chicken coop bedding materials is shredded newspaper. I decided to use shredded paper in one of my coops to find out for myself just how well it worked as coop bedding.
Sand is the answer to an obsessive person’s dreams. Close your eyes and imagine: Beautifully manicured chicken feet (free of poo), zen garden furrows in the ground, everything staying in it’s place instead of blowing around whenever a wing is flapped.
