Venison steak Diane is a tried and true recipe for mouth-watering venison. Venison can be challenging because it’s such a lean meat, but with a little care and a lot of time, it can be melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

I may not be your typical homesteader. My husband is active duty USMC, so we pull up roots (pun intended) every couple of years and tend to live in rented housing. However homesteading is a mindset, not a number of acres. My husband and I do everything we can to live simply, self-sufficiently, and as naturally as possible on 1/3 of an acre in the suburbs. We challenge each other to find new uses for things, to make do or do without, to invent new ways to be self-sufficient. I hope you'll join me on this journey, learn from my experiences and share your own! Homesteading is a community mindset and I look forward to hearing from you. http://www.hillsborough-homesteading.com/
